Chapter 10 - A NEW DAWN
Three months later, the courtyard of the Moretti estate was decorated not for security patrols, but for a celebration.
White silk banners hung from the stone archways, string lights glinted under the summer evening sky, and soft music drifted through the air. Friends, trusted associates, and staff gathered in the stone courtyard that had once been a place of icy fear.
Sophia stood near the central fountain wearing an elegant, simple cream gown. Her hair was styled in soft waves, and her smile illuminated the entire courtyard.
Alessandro stepped up behind her, sliding his arms around her waist. He looked at her with an intensity that made her heart race, just as it had on the day they first met.
"Ready?" he asked softly.
"Always, with you," Sophia replied, turning in his arms to kiss him gently on the lips.
Nearby, a minister stood waiting, ready to preside over a private ceremony that would officially make them a family in the eyes of the world.
Before the ceremony began, Emma ran up to them, wearing a adorable white flower-girl dress. Right behind her, walking with slow, noble steps, was Bruno, wearing a silk bow tie attached to his collar.
Emma pulled on Alessandro’s jacket. "Mr. Alessandro! Look at Bruno! He's the best dog in the whole wide world!"
Alessandro chuckled, dropping down to one knee so he was at eye level with the little girl. He reached out and gently held her small hand.
"He certainly is, Emma," Alessandro said, his tone full of genuine love. "And from today on, I am going to be the best dad in the whole wide world for you."
Emma’s eyes lit up with pure joy. Throwing her tiny arms around Alessandro’s neck, she gave him a tight hug. "I love you, Daddy!"

Alessandro held her close, closing his eyes as a profound sense of peace washed over his heart. When he stood up, he took Sophia’s hand in his, looking around at the courtyard that had brought them together.
